This win tied the record set by Atlanta from 1991 to 2005. With this win, the Dodgers cut their magic number to three for a fifth straight NL West title and their 13th in the past 14 seasons.

Skubal (10-7) struck out nine and walked one, allowing only three hits and two runs over 7 1/3 innings. He has now won two games against Cincinnati in seven days and is 3-2 with a 2.52 ERA in eight starts since being acquired from the Detroit Tigers on August 2.
