19-year-old Arab citizen of Israel arrested on suspicion of planning terror attack

A 19-year-old individual from Kafr Kassem was apprehended by Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and the Israel Police on Tuesday, accused of advancing terrorist activity and plotting a potential attack. The investigation revealed that the suspect, named Issa, had been influenced by the October 7 tragedy, leading him to develop a plan to carry out a terrorist attack.

Upon his arrest, authorities discovered an extensive collection of training equipment and airsoft weapons at his residence. Moreover, during his interrogation, Issa admitted to using his cellphone to search for combat manuals and had downloaded guides on crafting explosive devices.

The investigation further disclosed that Issa had not merely sought information but had also attempted to manufacture explosives using various materials. He even involved others in these illicit activities. Following his interrogations by the Shin Bet and the Sharon Central Unit, prosecutors presented a case to the Central District Court, leading to the filing of an indictment against the suspect.
