UPDATE: Benahavis wildfire still active as 50 residents still evacuated and village told to stay indoors

A wildfire in Benahavis, Spain, remains active and dangerous despite efforts by emergency services to contain it. Around 50 residents of Montemayor Alto are still evacuated and instructed to stay indoors. Strong easterly winds and steep terrain have made firefighting efforts challenging. Over 200 firefighters, including 212 emergency personnel, have worked night shifts to protect the town and prevent the fire's head from advancing.

Three people were injured during the incident. Emergency services are urging residents near the fire to remain indoors and follow instructions from authorities.
