UAE President receives President of Albania

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan hosted His Excellency Bajram Begaj, the President of Albania, who is currently in the UAE for a working visit. Sheikh Mohamed expressed his optimism that this visit would bolster UAE-Albania relations and deepen cooperation between the two nations. The two leaders discussed various areas of bilateral relations, including economy, trade, renewable energy, technology, and infrastructure development.

They reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening their ties and expanding development partnerships to ensure sustainable economic growth.

The meeting also addressed the upcoming 2026 UN Water Conference, scheduled to be held in the UAE in December, as well as both countries' dedication to sustainability, particularly in tackling water-related challenges. They emphasized the significance of continued cooperation in international forums and regional and international security, stability, and peace efforts to foster a prosperous future for all.

In recognition of Sheikh Mohamed's contributions to UAE-Albania relations and development, President Begaj awarded him the Grand Star of the Supreme Order of the Eagle, Albania's highest state decoration. Sheikh Mohamed expressed his gratitude to President Begaj and affirmed his dedication to building upon the progress made in bilateral relations for the benefit of both nations.

The meeting was attended by several high-ranking officials, including Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, and other ministers and officials.
