However, Trump faces a challenge as 61% of Americans oppose a new data center in their community, including 54% of Republicans according to a recent poll. This stance is incongruent with the public opinion, as seen in other areas such as Iran War support and surveillance cameras. In the AI debate, Trump is backing the administration's aggressive approach, arguing that current regulations are a "Trojan horse" for regulatory capture by the AI industry.
