Trump asegura que Rusia y Ucrania han pactado no atacar "objetivos energéticos"

American President Donald Trump has claimed that an agreement has been reached between Russia and Ukraine to refrain from attacking each other's energy targets, in an effort to lower fuel prices. In a post on his social media platform, Truth, Trump stated that Russia has also agreed to do the same. The rise in global diesel prices is primarily due to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, not Iran, according to Trump. His popularity has been at a low point due to the increase in oil prices in the US.

The announcement came after Trump requested Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski to stop attacking Russian refineries, as it is causing a diesel shortage. Zelenski is simply required to stop impacting diesel fuel, though other objectives may come into play, Trump said in an interview before playing golf during his official visit to Ireland.

The request followed Ukraine's attacks on Saturday on chemical plants and a drone factory in the Russian regions of Perm, Samara, and Rostov, along with a petroleum depot, radar station, and Pantsir-S2 system.

Trump emphasized that Kiev's actions against Russian energy infrastructure could harm the world. The conflict is between Russia and Ukraine, not the Middle East, he argued. He spoke with Zelenski about the matter, and the Kremlin welcomed the call. US President Trump also spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, urging him to end the four-year war initiated by Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

While the Russian press secretary applauded Trump's pressure on Ukraine, he noted that the overall situation in crude oil markets is deteriorating sharply, primarily due to the escalation in the Persian Gulf. Trump has begun to focus on the Ukrainian conflict, which originated from Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, as the cause of growing energy tensions.
