Things 3 Updated for iOS 27 With Siri AI and Spotlight Integration

Cultured Code has released Things 3.24, a significant update that brings integration with iOS 27's new Siri AI and Spotlight search capabilities. One of the most notable features is full support for AI-powered voice commands, enabling users to create tasks simply by speaking naturally. Once a task is created, users can continue the conversation to add notes, set start dates, and establish alerts without exiting the app.

Furthermore, Things 3.24 indexes a user's entire database within Spotlight, allowing tasks and projects to be found through system-wide searches. Siri AI can also utilize this Spotlight index to fulfill user requests. For those who prefer not to include task data in system search, the feature can be disabled in Things settings. Additionally, the update extends snooze intervals for notifications with options such as 15 minutes, one hour, three hours, and a new "snooze until tomorrow" choice.

Cultured Code also introduces an XL Portrait widget, which enables users to view extended lists directly from the Home Screen. The update encompasses various other compatibility improvements for the new operating system. Things 3.24 coincides with the launch of iOS 27, which Apple is set to release later today.
