"Come visit Gyeongnam during the Chuseok holiday"... Special exhibition to help recover Goseong and Tongyeong areas

The Korea Tourism Organization is organizing a special travel event during the Chuseok holiday to help revitalize the tourism and local economy of the Gyeongnam provinces of Geojin and Tongyeong, which have suffered greatly from recent heavy rains. The "Chuseok Holiday Sunshine Walk Special Travel" will commence on the 14th and continue until the end of May.

The Gyeongnam Tourism Foundation plans to launch the "Gyeongnam Food Road Tour Pass" to attract visitors during the Chuseok holiday, with additional incentives for those visiting Geojin and Tongyeong, which have experienced significant flooding. The special travel event aims to encourage visitors from outside Gyeongnam to spend a night or more in the province, with the promise of over 30,000 won in food vouchers from food chains and cafes throughout Gyeongnam.

Participants will also have the opportunity to share their travel experiences and share the flavors of Gyeongnam through "Food Trip Review Events." Interested individuals can apply online through the Gyeongnam Tourism Foundation's "Nuri House" website. Following a week of intense rainfall that caused severe flooding in Geojin and Tongyeong on the 16th and 17th, the region has suffered extensive property damage, with estimates of 1,825,155 damaged properties totaling 857 billion won in restoration costs.
