Staff at Miri Hospital bid farewell to colleagues killed in Long Lellang FDS helicopter crash

Miri Hospital witnessed a somber atmosphere as staff gathered to pay their respects to colleagues who lost their lives in the Long Lellang FDS helicopter crash. Three individuals were taken from the hospital on Tuesday - Debra Moset, Alexson Adit Henry, and Jessie Paya Jok. Debra Moset was remembered at the multi-faith room before her remains were transported to Kuching International Airport.

Alexson Adit Henry's remains were released early in the morning, while Jessie Paya Jok's were taken out around noon. Jessie's husband expressed gratitude for the support extended to the family, stating that their efforts could not fulfill Jessie's wish for further education. Alexson Adit Henry's remains are planned for burial in the Anglican Cemetery in Lambir, while Jessie Paya Jok will be laid to rest in the Borneo Evangelical Mission (BEM) cemetery in Lambir.

The helicopter pilot, Capt Zainol Afiq Bee Sham, and medical officer Dr Ainul Baraah Kamaruddin were flown to Peninsular Malaysia to be with their families. The impact of the loss was evident among the hospital staff, who had worked alongside the deceased and shared the same environment.
