Work has already commenced on the Ashanti Orbital, known as the Kumasi Outer Ring Road, as part of the Big Push program. The road will facilitate the bypassing of Kumasi City by heavy trucks traveling from the south towards Burkina Faso and other northern destinations.
Similarly, the Greater Accra Orbital will offer alternative routes for motorists traveling from Aflao who do not intend to enter Accra. The two orbitals will be interconnected eventually, all leading to the development of a more efficient transportation infrastructure across Ghana.
