Social Distortion “Kill” It with Descendents and The Chats in Brooklyn: Review, Photos, Video + Setlist

On Saturday, September 12th, Social Distortion, the Descendents, and The Chats took the stage at the Brooklyn Paramount in Brooklyn, New York, for a pair of nights of punk rock. The show kicked off at 7 p.m. with The Chats, who delivered a high-energy performance from their 2020 and 2022 studio albums. At 8 p.m., the Descendents took the stage, playing over 40 years of punk riffs from their iconic albums Milo Goes to College and Everything Sucks.

After a brief intermission, the headlining act, Social Distortion, made their entrance. Frontman Mike Ness, who had recently overcome tonsil cancer, led the band through a set that included their latest track "Born to Kill," a cover of Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire," and a rare performance of "Prison Bound." The band wrapped up the show with a three-song encore, leaving the crowd with a memorable night of punk music.
