Rohingya family living rough outside Bandar Baru Uda offices for a week

A Rohingya family, including a pregnant woman and an infant, has been living on a pavement outside offices in Bandar Baru Uda for roughly a week, according to local reports. The family, consisting of the woman and her children, has been sleeping on a carpet laid out on Jalan Padi 1. Local business owners have expressed inconvenience caused by the family's presence, as they have been observed sleeping and playing on the pavement.

Children, mostly boys, were frequently seen shirtless and creating noise by peering into office entrances through glass doors. The Welfare Department has been informed about the situation, with hopes for timely intervention from the authorities. The family's plight gained public attention after a post on the Pasal Johor Facebook group was shared by a user named Omar Amat, who urged the Johor Immigration Department to take action.

This incident follows a similar case reported in the New Straits Times on August 24, where another Rohingya family had been living rough in various public areas around Larkin for over two months.
