PIA Signs Interline Agreement With International Airline

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Afghanistan's Kam Air have collaborated by signing an interline agreement. This partnership aims to simplify travel from Afghanistan to Middle Eastern destinations via Islamabad. The agreement permits passengers to book their entire journey as a single reservation, rather than acquiring separate tickets for each flight segment. The first phase of the arrangement will link Kabul to Dammam through Islamabad.

For travelers departing from Kabul, their checked baggage will be seamlessly transferred onto their connecting PIA flight at Islamabad International Airport. This will eliminate the need for passengers to collect and recheck their luggage during transit. Additionally, Afghan passengers heading to Gulf destinations will be able to remain in the airside transit area at Islamabad airport, thereby avoiding the requirement for immigration clearance in Pakistan.

The cooperation between PIA, which recently underwent privatization, and Kam Air establishes a streamlined transit route connecting Afghanistan with key Middle Eastern destinations through Islamabad.
