OMJ fufils BECEPIP schorlaship promise, awards 12 learners

The OMJ Foundation, led by its founder and CEO Osei Mensah Joseph, has honored twelve (12) outstanding learners who participated in the BECEPIP programme. The award, named "OMJ Ketewa Biaa Nsua," was presented to the students during a ceremony held at the Akuapem South Education Directorate in Aburi on Friday, September 11.

Each recipient of this category was gifted a mattress, chop box, and a single-piece travelling suitcase to assist them in transitioning to Senior High School. This particular award falls under OMJ's three-tiered scholarship system, which also includes "OMJ Full Sponsorship" and the "Admission Scholarship" packages.

During the event, Mr. Osei Mensah Joseph shared his own personal experiences to inspire the learners. He urged them to stay focused, disciplined, and determined as they embark on their Senior High School education. Additionally, he encouraged parents to play a more active role in their children's academic development and overall wellbeing.

Mr. Joseph expressed gratitude to the Akuapem South Education Directorate, headteachers, teaching, and non-teaching staff of the five participating schools for their cooperation and support throughout the pilot programme. He addressed the beneficiaries, saying: "Akuapem South is what we have, my cherished learners, do everything within your means to shine wherever you find yourself in your SHS journey. Remember, I will always be of help when the need arises."

At the ceremony, the Municipal Director of Education, Akuapem South, Madam Elizabeth Afriyie, expressed her appreciation to OMJ and the Foundation for initiating this program. She urged the awardees to take their studies seriously and strive to make themselves, their parents, schools, and communities proud. Madam Afriyie also highlighted an improvement in the 2026 BECE performance in the municipality, particularly among the five schools that took part in the BECEPIP pilot.

She commended OMJ for their support in education and encouraged the beneficiaries to make the best use of the opportunity provided to them.
