No media spectacle can erase Alia’s achievements in Benue – Numbeve

Mr. Stephen Numbeve, State Coordinator of the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project in Benue State, has firmly stated that no amount of media spectacle or political rhetoric can overshadow the significant achievements of Governor Hyacinth Alia's administration. In a recent statement, Numbeve emphasized that the Alia government had ushered in a new era of development through strategic investments in infrastructure, education, industrialization, and workers' welfare.

According to him, the transformative changes were palpable in various communities across Benue, far beyond mere political narratives.

Major road projects have connected cities and opened up rural areas, while investments in rural infrastructure have enhanced access for farmers and bolstered economic activities. Numbeve highlighted the construction of world-class roads, the interlinking of rural communities, the rise of new industries, and the revitalization of existing ones.

Additionally, he stressed the importance of education, noting the construction and renovation of school facilities, and the recruitment of thousands of teachers, which he described as a substantial investment in the future of Benue's children.

The coordinator also pointed to the regular payment of salaries and pensions as another crucial area where the Alia administration had provided significant relief to workers and retirees. Numbeve argued that these tangible developments carried more weight with ordinary citizens than the political narratives often circulated on social media.

He asserted that while media performances are accessible to all, the truth is that most Benue voters form their opinions based on what they witness firsthand—the state's infrastructure, the quality of education, and the provision of salaries and pensions—rather than on fabricated narratives.

Numbeve urged Benue residents to focus on tangible development and the continuity of governance rather than allowing political distractions to overshadow the state's progress. He cautioned against abandoning the foundation for sustainable development for the sake of political alternatives whose promises may not translate into improved living conditions.

He expressed confidence that the people of Benue would continue to evaluate the Alia administration based on its tangible impact on their daily lives, and concluded that Benue could not afford to let this progress slip away for the sake of any alternative option.
