Myles Kennedy “Absolutely” Refuses to Use AI to Write Songs: “Why Would I Cheat Myself?”

Alter Bridge frontman Myles Kennedy has firmly stated that he will not employ artificial intelligence (AI) as a means to write songs, insisting that doing so would be cheating himself of the creative process. Kennedy made this position clear in an interview with SiriusXM host Eddie Trunk, saying, "I will absolutely refuse to use it as a, quote-unquote, writing tool."

Kennedy explained that he values the joy and satisfaction derived from the songwriting process, which he regards as a "great scavenger hunt." He elaborated, "You’re trying to problem solve and find parts and navigate through all of this stuff, and then when you find it, it’s like finding gold." Kennedy acknowledged that some individuals might find AI helpful in their songwriting, but he remains steadfast in his own approach, emphasizing that his career has been built on his unique songwriting style.
