Malin Akerman, Nadine Bhabha, Megan Follows and Matias Lucas Join Netflix’s ‘This Summer Will Be Different’ Adaptation

Netflix is set to premiere the adaptation of Carley Fortune’s book "This Summer Will Be Different," featuring well-known actresses Malin Akerman and Megan Follows. The series, created by Dane Clark and Linsey Stewart, follows the story of Lucy Ashby as she navigates her 20s and falls for her best friend's brother. Malin Akerman will portray Aunt Stacy, the lead character's aunt and mentor, while Megan Follows joins as Cheryl.

The cast also includes Nadine Bhabha, Matias Lucas, Sophie Nélisse, Roby Attal, and Francesca Reale. The adaptation is part of Netflix's growing collection of Canadian shows, which include "North of North," "Wayward," and "The Granville Girls." The series is set to consist of 10 episodes and has not yet been given a premiere date.
