Macklemore Kicked Off Ed Sheeran Tour for Pro-Palestine Comments

Macklemore has commented on his exclusion from Ed Sheeran's U.S. leg of the Loop Tour following his controversial "Free Palestine" chant during a performance. In an Instagram post, Macklemore stated that he and Sheeran, who are friends of 13 years, were incapable of changing each other's stance on the matter. Sheeran informed Macklemore that the Gillette Stadium owner, Robert Kraft, threatened to exclude Sheeran from venues if Macklemore remained on the tour, citing the "Free Palestine" comment as the reason.

Macklemore acknowledged the sensitivity of the issue, stating that while "wanting all humans to be treated equal should never be controversial," the discussion surrounding the conflict should not be disregarded. He expressed disappointment at the circumstances but affirmed his continued friendship with Sheeran, hoping their relationship would not end over this disagreement.
