Linda Mwananchi presidential ticket: Manyora says Sifuna would beat Orengo in Siaya

Political analyst Herman Manyora has dismissed the contention that James Orengo would triumph in Siaya County if the presidential ticket were decided today, alongside Linda Mwananchi nominee Edwin Sifuna. Describing the gods and stars as favoring Sifuna, Manyora stated that the Nairobi senator has captured the imagination of Kenyans, particularly the younger demographic.

If elections were held with both Sifuna and Orengo on the ballot, Sifuna would emerge victorious in his home county of Siaya, Manyora added. This comes after Orengo announced his presidential bid on the Linda Mwananchi ticket, in the face of Sifuna's growing popularity. In an attempt to quell the rivalry, Orengo has proposed talks with Sifuna to unite under a single presidential flag bearer for the 2027 General Election.

Sifuna has echoed the sentiment of unity, urging the opposition to choose one candidate to face President William Ruto. While Babu Owino, another Linda Mwananchi principal, acknowledged Orengo's aspirations, he tactfully emphasized the need for the opposition to select a single presidential nominee. The rest of the movement's leaders, including spokesperson Caroli Omondi, have dismissed Orengo's bid, asserting that Sifuna is the chosen presidential candidate for Linda Mwananchi.
