Kelantan quadruplets leave home for UTHM in Johor

BATU PAHAT: Identical quadruplets from Kelantan have embarked on their university journey together, enrolling in the same Bachelor of Real Estate Management (Honours) programme at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) today. The 23-year-old siblings — Amir Muttaqin, Aniq Muttaqin, Abid Muttaqin, and Adib Muttaqin Md Khairuddin — joined 3,302 students registering for the 2026/2027 academic session.

All four had previously earned Certificates in Property Valuation from the National Institute of Valuation, leading them to select UTHM's Faculty of Technology Management and Business.

The brothers expressed their excitement and eagerness to continue their studies at the university, but Abid also mentioned the challenge of leaving his family behind for the first time as a university student. Despite the excitement and nerves, the quadruplets believe their shared experiences could provide an advantage in navigating university life. They can study, revise, and support each other through classes and assignments while living at the college.

UTHM vice-chancellor Professor Dr Mas Fawzi Mohd Ali announced that the new cohort included 1,885 male and 1,417 female students across eight faculties.
