Apple has released major updates to its software platforms, including iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27. The updates bring numerous enhancements to Siri AI, Apple Intelligence, parental controls, and overall software improvements. Siri AI, a more intelligent and capable version of Siri, is now available as a beta in English, with support for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish coming in October.

This AI-powered assistant is integrated across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro, offering personal context understanding, broad world knowledge, onscreen awareness, and more system-wide app actions. Siri can understand user context across messages, emails, photos, and more to help users find information quickly.

It can also answer questions related to the content on a user's screen or access the web for up-to-date information.

Apple Intelligence features are now more helpful and intuitive in everyday apps. In Photos, users can use Spatial Reframing, Extend, and an upgraded Clean Up tool to edit photos while preserving the original moment. Image Playground enables users to create high-quality images in various styles, including photorealistic, with image metadata and support for the SynthID standard.

Safari benefits from Apple Intelligence's ability to organize tabs into topics, notify users of website changes, and enable custom extensions based on a description. Call Context surfaces relevant information during phone calls, such as confirmation codes or reservation numbers.

Apple has also introduced powerful child safety features and a redesigned Screen Time experience. These features allow parents to manage their children's digital experiences more effectively, with a new setup flow for child accounts and tools to approve browsing, require approval before accessing new websites, and block gore or violent content in shared images or videos.

Screen Time provides an overview of children's average device usage and top apps, with new tools to set daily time allowances and manage app access during different times of the day. Apple has also dedicated a website to guide parents and families on creating safer and more enriching digital experiences for their kids.
