Honor’s New $195 Phone Packs an 8,300mAh Battery and Rugged Build

Honor has introduced the Play 11 in China, part of their Play series, emphasizing battery life, durability, and everyday functionality. This device joins a range of models, starting at approximately $195. Design-wise, the phone boasts a 6.872-inch TFT LCD screen with a 1592 × 720 pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It can achieve up to 1,020 nits in HBM mode, featuring DC dimming, eye comfort, and a natural light-like display mode.

The Honor Play 11 is built to withstand dust and water, with IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, and can endure drops from a height of up to 2.5 meters. Measuring 168.3 × 78.54 × 8.30mm and weighing 216.5g, it is available in Desert Gold, Misty Purple, Meteor Silver, and Phantom Black finishes. Under the hood, the phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of storage.

It runs on Android 16 with MagicOS 10.0, and a dedicated AI button on the side offers quick access to various functions. Connectivity options include 5G, dual nano-SIM slots, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, and USB-C, with a fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. The device features dual stereo speakers and supports up to 400% volume increase.

The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main camera with a f/1.8 aperture, complemented by a 5MP front-facing camera with a f/2.2 aperture. The Honor Play 11 is powered by a 8,300mAh battery, rated at 7,900mAh, and offers 45W wired charging along with reverse charging capabilities. The device is available in three configurations: 6GB + 128GB for $195, 8GB + 128GB for $225, and 8GB + 256GB for $265.
