Gujarat woman throws acid at daughter-in-law as she refuses to clean bathroom

A 26-year-old woman from Vadodara filed a complaint at the Gorwa police station following an alleged acid attack by her mother-in-law. The incident occurred on September 10 at a residential society in Gorwa, following a dispute over bathroom cleaning duties. The woman married a Vadodara resident in 2021 and alleged that she had been subject to repeated harassment from her husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law, and two sisters-in-law.

The FIR was registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including those related to domestic violence, acid attacks, and causing grievous hurt.
