Ground Control Partners with Den Norske Kriegsforsikring for Maritime Resilience Tracking Initiative

Ground Control has been selected as one of three qualified vendors by Den Norske Kriegsforsikring (DNK) for their DNK Tracking Programme. This initiative aims to address the increasing threat of GNSS jamming and spoofing in commercial shipping, particularly in high-risk maritime zones such as the Red Sea and Persian Gulf. The programme replaces DNK's previous Raptor scheme with a multi-vendor approach, providing member organizations with the flexibility to choose solutions that best meet their operational needs.

Ground Control's RockFLEET Assured plays a significant role in this program. It is a compact, marine-grade tracker that combines Iridium satellite positioning and timing (Iridium STL) to deliver trusted, independent position reporting. This becomes crucial when conventional GNSS signals are compromised. The tracker also offers bridge integrity alerts, two-way satellite messaging, and full fleet visibility through Ground Control's Cloudloop tracking platform.

Its integration using standard NMEA protocols ensures simple adoption into existing bridge systems for vessels.

Alastair MacLeod, Chief Executive of Ground Control, emphasized that GNSS spoofing and jamming have become persistent operational realities, especially in contested maritime zones this year. Commercial shipping now confronts active, escalating threats to position reliability in high-risk waters. "Our partnership with DNK enables vessel operators to maintain trusted positioning and situational awareness where conventional GNSS cannot be relied upon", he stated.

RockFLEET Assured is already in use on commercial vessels operating in high-risk waters. This system integrates with DNK's War Risk Insurance framework, offering member organizations a practical, field-proven method for independent position verification.
