Good news for GES non-teaching staff seeking promotions

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced an open application period for serving non-teaching staff seeking promotions to higher grades within the Service. This 2026 promotion exercise encompasses staff in various classes, including Accounting, Internal Audit, Administrative, Catering, Technical, Librarian, Supply, Laboratory Technician, Secretarial, and Driver.

Eligible staff can apply for positions such as Chief Accountant II, Deputy Chief Accountant I and II, Principal Accountant, and others in each respective class. To be considered, applicants must have held a previous promotion to these grades by 2022 or earlier and must have remained continuously assigned to their current position since.

They must also demonstrate a satisfactory work history and good conduct within the Ghana Education Service. Applicants utilizing Master's or PhD certificates to expedite their interviews must have pursued an approved GES course and obtained their certificates by 2023. The application process is conducted online, with necessary documents including a recent passport-sized photograph and supporting letters in PDF format.
