Fujitsu to sell domestic CPU and AI server starting November

Fujitsu has announced plans to start selling its domestically produced next-generation CPU, FUJITSU-MONAKA, and AI server, FUJITSU MONAKA Server, beginning in November 2026. The company will begin accepting orders for FUJITSU-MONAKA in January through March 2027, with shipments starting in April 2027 for the FUJITSU MONAKA Server.

FUJITSU-MONAKA is an in-house developed CPU utilizing 2nm process technology, focusing on high throughput and power efficiency for AI inference tasks. The FUJITSU MONAKA Server, equipped with this CPU, is manufactured at the Kasashima plant in Ishikawa Prefecture and is currently provided to 30 Japanese and European companies in finance, telecommunications, and manufacturing sectors.

Starting November 2026, Fujitsu aims to offer sales to a broader range of customers, including data center operators, enterprises, government agencies, and defense sectors in Japan and Europe. The company has identified in-house CPUs and AI servers as key focus areas in its medium-term plan, expecting these products to contribute to earnings from the fiscal year ending March 2028.

The growing demand for on-premise AI servers, particularly for confidential information utilization, is driving Fujitsu's move to expand its product offerings.
