flydubai expands past 125 destinations with more flights across key markets

Dubai-based airline flydubai has expanded its extensive network to over 125 destinations across 56 countries, with 85% of its network back in operation ahead of the winter travel season. The carrier is currently running an average of 2,200 weekly flights, with additional capacity being added to accommodate growing demand, particularly in Central Asia and Southeast Asia.

A notable example of this expansion is the increase in flights to Bangkok, with flydubai now operating three non-stop daily services to Don Mueang International Airport, up from one. The airline has also launched new services to Pokhara, Nepal, on September 23, becoming the second destination in the country after Kathmandu.

In recent months, flydubai has resumed or launched services to several destinations, including Aleppo, Benghazi, and Bangkok. The airline is increasing capacity on year-round routes to Almaty, Bishkek, and Tashkent, and anticipates positive winter demand following the summer travel season. Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai, attributes this optimism to the strong performance of recently launched routes and the increased demand seen during the summer months.

With forward bookings continuing to be encouraging, flydubai expects to fully restore its network and support the growth in travel, trade, and tourism through Dubai. The UAE airlines network now offers passengers access to over 214 unique destinations across more than 100 countries, creating more than 4,600 connection opportunities through Dubai's Terminals 2 and 3.
