Startup Flam has raised $40 million in a Series B funding round to develop AI-enabled interactive content. The round was led by QED Investors and included participation from Claypond Capital, Australian Gulf Capital, the SRK Family Office, plus angel investors Martin Chavez and Olivier Pomel, who is Datadog Inc.'s Chief Executive Officer.
Flam's San Francisco-based team created a proprietary artificial intelligence platform that allows creators to generate dynamic, real-time interactive videos, 3D experiences, and hyper-real visual agents. Flam CEO Shourya Agarwal noted that interactive content has always been desired, but creators lacked the tools to deliver it.
Flam's platform, backed by over 15 patents, offers three types of interactive experiences: Flicks, Airboards, and Visual Agents. Flicks are AI-generated interactive videos, Airboards are high-fidelity 3D content experiences, and Visual Agents are hyper-realistic avatars that can engage users in real-time conversations. Flam has already signed over 100 enterprise customers, including Google LLC, and is on track to reach $100 million in annual recurring revenue within the next year.
The funding will support ongoing research and development, expand the product suite, and help Flam build the foundational infrastructure layer for brands to create and share interactive content.
