Ex-West Ham goalkeeper Miklosko dies at 64

Ludek Miklosko, a former goalkeeper for West Ham and the Czech national team, has passed away at the age of 64, five years after being diagnosed with cancer, according to English Championship club West Ham. The veteran goalkeeper spent seven years at the club, from 1990 to 1997, making nearly 400 appearances and helping West Ham secure promotions to the English top flight in 1991 and 1993.

Miklosko became a fan favorite and was mourned by both West Ham and Banik Ostrava, his previous club. The club announced that Miklosko would be honored with a period of appreciation during a League Cup match against Fulham. His family expressed gratitude for the support they received during his illness, stating that his love for West Ham and the fans would forever be a part of their family.
