Europe Prepares for War as Germany Sends Up to 1,000 New Troops
Germany will add postings to its permanent brigade in Lithuania this fall, with up to 1,000 active-duty soldiers potentially affected, Bild reported. Berlin plans to station 4,800 troops on NATO’s eastern flank by the end of 2027 but has filled only about 60 percent of the required positions with volunteers.
