TORONTO - K-pop sensation Lisa captivated fans with fervent screams as she arrived at the Toronto International Film Festival for the documentary premiere of "Always Lalisa." The star, formerly of the group Blackpink, has transitioned into a solo artist, with the film chronicling her experiences over the past year. Lisa, whose full name is Lalisa Manobal, revealed in an interview after the premiere that she sought fresh experiences beyond her previous endeavors.

Despite initially believing a year would suffice, she continues to explore her passions and next venture. Her documentary, "Always Lalisa," captures her achievements and challenges from 2024 to 2025, encompassing the release of her debut solo album "Alter Ego," her acting debut in "The White Lotus," and plans for performances at major festivals like Coachella.

Directed by Sue Kim, who previously worked on Apple TV’s 2024 series "K-Pop Idols," the film offers an exclusive look into Lisa’s life, distinct from the stereotypical image often associated with K-pop stars. Following her return to Blackpink, the group released "DEADLINE," their first album in over three years in February. "Always Lalisa" is set to premiere in theaters on October 12.
