Cavan Sullivan records his first 2-goal game in MLS and the Union cruise past San Diego 5-0

Philadelphia Union secured a 5-0 victory over San Diego in an MLS match on Sunday night. Cavan Sullivan marked his first two-goal game in Major League Soccer, providing a crucial assist in the process.

Sullivan's first goal arrived in first-half stoppage time, after a creative back-heel flick that deflected into the post. In the 62nd minute, Sullivan secured the two-goal lead with a powerful shot through the legs of San Diego goalkeeper Duran Ferree.

The Union continued their dominance, with Bruno Damiani capitalizing on Sullivan's set-up for a fourth goal. Philadelphia extended their lead to five goals by halftime. An own goal from Anibal Godoy marked the third goal, with Malik Jakupovic scoring his first MLS goal in the 87th minute, just before halftime.

Andre Blake, who reached his 290th appearance for the Union, made a crucial save to keep his seventh clean sheet of the season.
