Carson Hocevar Trolls NASCAR Media, Fans After Sunday’s Chaotic Race

Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race at World Wide Technology Raceway witnessed an unprecedented 18 cautions on the track, involving 13 of the 16 drivers participating in The Chase. Carson Hocevar, however, remained incident-free, leading to a touch of trolling from the driver on Monday. In a Facebook post on Monday morning, Hocevar sarcastically apologized to NASCAR fans who would now be deprived of podcasts with material to discuss, as he had not caused any of the incidents.

This gesture was directed at the NASCAR media cycle from previous week when Hocevar collided with Brad Keselowski at Darlington, causing Keselowski to vow revenge. This initiated a series of confrontations on various podcasts. The initial criticism came from Denny Hamlin, who indirectly targeted Spire Motorsports, Hocevar's team, by not mentioning their name directly.

Hocevar faced backlash on Door Bumper Clear and the intense discussion around him led to Spire's co-owner appearing on The Gluckcast for the second time this year to defend his team. Despite several The Chase drivers causing on-track incidents, Hocevar had a clean day, finishing in eighth place at World Wide Technology Raceway. Even though he didn't create any negative headlines, Hocevar continued to use social media to entertain his fan base and provoke those who are tired of his antics.
