Brock Bowers considered day-to-day entering Week 2

In the wake of tight end Brock Bowers undergoing a knee procedure last week, the Oakland Raiders are cautiously optimistic about his potential participation in Week 2, according to head coach Klint Kubiak. On Monday, Kubiak confirmed that Bowers is being treated as day-to-day, emphasizing his commitment to regaining full playing form. The coach described Bowers as "working his tail off to get back out on the field," underscoring the urgency for the player to return as soon as possible.

Kubiak stressed the Raiders' approach will be measured, stating, "We're gonna be smart with him," but also hinted at the possibility of Bowers making an immediate impact if he is ready. Following their 27-13 season opener against the Miami Dolphins, Ashton Jeanty emerged as the leading receiver with six receptions for 45 yards, including two touchdowns, along with 102 yards on 23 carries.

Tight end Michael Mayer followed with six receptions for 32 yards. Additionally, cornerback Darien Porter, who sustained a foot injury during the victory, is also listed as day-to-day. The Raiders are set to travel to face division-rival Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2.
