Baloch Activist Sammi Deen Baloch Raises Concern Over Reported Civilian Deaths In Balochistan Firing

Baloch human rights activist Sammi Deen Baloch has expressed grave concern over the reported deaths of four civilians and injuries to several others, including a seven-year-old child, during a recent firing by Frontier Corps (FC) personnel in Killi Yar Muhammad Sonaro, Wadh, in Balochistan. In a post on X, Sammi Deen Baloch highlighted that Shahzaib, the seven-year-old victim, was one of the injured, while four civilians lost their lives in the incident.

Sammi Deen Baloch described the incident as the "human cost" of military operations carried out under the guise of security in Baloch communities. The activist emphasized that such violence is neither new nor exceptional for the Baloch people, citing the ongoing pattern of civilians being killed, people being forcibly disappeared, homes being raided, families being harassed, and young men being arbitrarily detained.

Sammi Deen Baloch further alleged that entire communities are subjected to military force, with their lives being treated as expendable and entire populations being punished for the actions of others.
