Arab Union for Voluntary Work will celebrate tomorrow the 'Arab Volunteer Day'

On September 15, 2026, the Arab Federation for Voluntary Work will observe Arab Volunteer Day, an annual event that takes place on the same date each year. The ceremony will be held at the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association headquarters in Doha.

Dr. Yusuf Ali Al Kazim, President of the Federation, will honor 100 volunteers from the Pioneers Team for Voluntary Work in Qatar during the event. He emphasized that the day's theme, "We Honor Giving... and Celebrate Impact," highlights the significance of recognizing volunteers who have dedicated their lives to giving and making a positive, sustainable impact in society.

The Federation has been actively promoting volunteerism and its value since its establishment in 2003. This year's celebration is particularly significant as it marks the Union's extended journey and the growing awareness of the importance of community participation and volunteer work in supporting development.

The ceremony will also mark the announcement of the Dr. Kazem Nouri Award for Volunteer Work, which recognizes inspiring volunteer models and encourages more initiatives that contribute to sustainable development and social cohesion. The award will honor five categories, including the Individual Leadership Award, Institutional Excellence Award, and the International Volunteer Work Award.

In addition to the awards, the Union will launch a short story competition for children and young people aged 10 to 17 years. This initiative aims to instill values of volunteering, giving, and social responsibility in the younger generation and encourage them to express these values through creativity and writing.
