Anthropic Deploys Claude to Automate Financial Adviser Prep Work

Anthropic introduced Claude for Financial Advisors, a set of tools to help financial advisers save time on prep and paperwork, allowing them to dedicate more time to serving clients. This new offering enables Claude to connect with various platforms used by financial advisers, such as custodians, portfolio platforms, CRM systems, and planning tools.

Claude also features specialized skills to assist with meeting preparations, portfolio analysis, and compliance checks. The AI agent operates under the supervision of the adviser, who is required to review and approve critical tasks. Additionally, a compliance skill checks client communication for potential issues, aids firms in documenting their review processes, and helps maintain compliance with Securities and Exchange Commission regulations.

Anthropic highlighted that by automating administrative tasks like meeting prep, follow-up drafts, and pipeline reviews, advisers can focus on building stronger client relationships. The company also expanded its AI agent lineup in May with 10 new agents designed to automate time-consuming tasks in financial services, such as creating pitchbooks and conducting know-your-customer checks.

OpenAI recently unveiled ChatGPT for Financial Services, tailored for investment banking and equity research, aimed at helping bankers create research, financial models, and customized client materials. AI startups Rogo and Hebbia have also developed tools that convert written instructions into financial models, memos, and pitch decks, operating on platforms powered by Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google models.
