Ahafo Ano South West Assembly denies demolition of classroom block for 24-Hour Market

The Ahafo Ano South West District Assembly has denied social media claims that a classroom block in Mankranso is being demolished for a 24-hour market. District Chief Executive Abubakar Sedik described the accusations as false and politically motivated, urging citizens to ignore the reports. The District Chief Executive announced this during a recent interview on Ghanakoma morning show, clarifying that there are no plans to demolish the school building for the market project.

Sedik explained that the classroom block, constructed in 2022, had remained unused since completion, being classified as a misplaced priority due to the district's urgent developmental requirements. He emphasized that the market project is a standalone initiative unrelated to the school's demolition. The 24-hour market aims to boost economic opportunities, improve trading conditions, and promote the socio-economic development of Mankranso and the broader Ahafo Ano South West District.

The District Chief Executive appealed to the public to avoid being misled by the malicious and politically driven claims surrounding the project, stressing the focus on development and the project's potential to benefit residents.
