‘We do it for the people,’ says Bok captain Kolisi after winning Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry

Siya Kolisi, Bok captain, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of South Africa and rugby fans from both South Africa and New Zealand following the Boks' 43-28 victory over the All Blacks in the fourth Test, thus claiming Rugby's Greatest Rivalry. The series concluded with the Boks securing a 3-1 series win, after an initial loss at Ellis Park, followed by triumphs in Cape Town and Soweto, before the impressive win in Baltimore.

Speaking after the match, Kolisi praised coach Rassie Erasmus, highlighting his ability to bring out the best in the players. He emphasized that they play for the fans of South Africa and the injured players who couldn't make the tour. He reminded his team of their responsibility towards the fans and the nation, stating, "We do this for the people."

Kolisi thanked the packed crowd of over 68,000 spectators in Baltimore and the South African supporters who attended the match in their country. He also acknowledged the New Zealand fans for their presence and support, expressing pride in their culture. He acknowledged the disappointment of New Zealand captain Codie Taylor, but commended his team's effort and emphasized that this outcome was a stepping stone for them to aspire to greater achievements in the future.
