‘We do it for our country’: Kolisi and Erasmus celebrate win

South Africa secured a hard-fought victory in Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry against New Zealand, clinching a 43-28 win in the fourth and final test match in Baltimore, United States. This triumph marked the Springboks' second Rugby World Cup title in a span of seven years, after their victories over the British and Irish Lions. After the match, both teams paused for a prayer, acknowledging the mutual respect and friendship they share off the field.

Springboks captain Siya Kolisi emphasized that while their rivalry remains fierce on the field, it is tempered by a deep bond between the two nations. "We go against each other all the time, but we get along off the field, and there is no hiding that we are good friends," Kolisi stated. "It was really a special moment." Springboks coach Rassie Erasmus highlighted the team's unwavering dedication to South Africa.

"We really care the most about South African people. We enjoy the other people all over the world. I understand the opinions, and we love the banter and all the things, but there is only one reason we do this: for us as a team and for our country."
