Vernell Brown III scores on consecutive punt returns to help Florida top Campbell 52-3

(AP) — Vernell Brown III scored three touchdowns in a dominant second quarter, including two consecutive punt returns, leading Florida to a 52-3 victory over lower-division Campbell on Saturday. This marked the Gators' first 2-0 start since 2020. Brown finished with a career-high 262 all-purpose yards, including the two punt returns for touchdowns, which made him the first Florida player since Jacquez Green in 1996 to accomplish this feat.

The Gators' special teams were a highlight, with standout performances from Jadan Baugh, Aaron Philo, and Dallas Wilson.
