Troops rescue three kidnap victims after terrorist attack in Zamfara

Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA Sector 2 have rescued three kidnapped victims following a terrorist attack on a commercial vehicle along the Anka–Gummi road in Zamfara State. A security analyst reported that the rescue occurred after the troops received information about the attack and swiftly moved to the scene. Upon arrival, the soldiers engaged the attackers, causing them to flee the area with their captives in tow.

The terrorists abandoned their victims and a handheld communication radio behind in their haste. The rescued individuals are currently receiving medical care before being reunited with their families. The troops are conducting intensified search and recovery operations in the area to locate the affected vehicle and apprehend the fleeing attackers.

In response to the incident, security forces have increased patrols along the Anka–Gummi corridor to safeguard motorists and deter criminal activities in the region.
