Al Nassr, a prominent team in the Saudi Pro League, has just shattered an 87-year-old record for the longest streak of consecutive goals scored in top-tier football. This remarkable feat unfolded during a 1-1 draw against Al Khaleej on Saturday. The goal that sealed the record belonged to substitute Abdullah Al-Hamdan, who skillfully placed the ball from outside the box to equalize the score in the second half after Al Khaleej had taken an early lead.

Beyond securing a crucial point for Al Nassr, the goal also extended the club's unbeaten scoring streak to an astonishing 94 matches in the Saudi Pro League. This surpasses the previous all-time record of 93 consecutive matches by the Argentine club River Plate, which maintained this impressive streak from September 1936 to June 1939.

Al Nassr's own scoring streak commenced on December 8, 2023, following a convincing 4-1 victory over Al Riyadh. Prior to this match, the club had only managed to score in one league game, a 3-0 loss to Al Hilal earlier that same month.

Since the start of their current scoring spree, Al Nassr's players, spearheaded by Cristiano Ronaldo, have been relentless in their pursuit of goals.
