Skitmaker gives voice to Nigerian cancer patients after Ogogo, wife’s death

MC Always, also known as Egbon Adugbo, a popular Nigerian skitmaker and social media influencer, has transformed his personal experience of losing his wife, Ogogo, to Stage 4 cancer into a campaign for better healthcare delivery in Nigeria. In a YouTube video, he shared how his wife's battle with cancer and the challenges they faced while seeking treatment inspired him to speak out about the struggles many families face dealing with serious illnesses, particularly cancer patients and their caregivers.

MC Always emphasized that his campaign is driven by the broader challenges he encountered while navigating the healthcare system, including issues with access to treatment, the cost of healthcare, and medical facilities. He received numerous calls and messages from cancer patients and caregivers, which made him realize that his wife's experience was not an isolated case.

This campaign has now become a platform for these individuals to share their stories and bring attention to the difficulties they face within the healthcare system, rather than simply generating temporary attention on social media.
