Sheikh Khaled meets Russian President as Brics summit wraps up in New Delhi

Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed of Abu Dhabi met with Russian President Vladimir Putin during the recent Brics summit in New Delhi. The discussions between the two leaders focused on strengthening bilateral ties and exchanging perspectives on regional and international concerns. Both emphasized the significance of ongoing coordination following the 18th Brics summit, which this year centered on financial cooperation and energy transition.

Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed also held meetings with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the weekend.

The Brics summit this year has been recognized for facilitating tough conversations, presenting a challenging test for the bloc. A significant side meeting occurred between the UAE and Iran, marking the highest-level diplomatic encounter between the two nations since the onset of the conflict. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi engaged in discussions about regional and international matters, emphasizing de-escalation, stability, and progress towards regional peace and development. These conversations were highlighted by the Abu Dhabi media office on social media platform X.
