Saudi Arabia to host 17th ASOSAI General Assembly in Jeddah in 2027

Saudi Arabia has announced its decision to host the 17th ASOSAI General Assembly in Jeddah from September 12 to 16, 2027. The event will bring together 48 heads of audit authorities from across 48 countries to discuss and collaborate on public financial oversight and auditing. King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has granted the venue for the assembly, with the General Court of Audit of Saudi Arabia as its host.

This will be the largest and most significant gathering of its kind, featuring representatives from various international and regional organizations such as INTOSAI. Dr. Hussam bin Abdulmohsen Alangari, President of the General Court of Audit, expressed Saudi Arabia's confidence in hosting the event and its commitment to strengthening its role in supporting the auditing and accounting profession both regionally and globally.

Furthermore, he highlighted that Saudi Arabia will take over the presidency of ASOSAI from 2027 to 2030, solidifying the Kingdom's position in the field of oversight and accounting. The General Court of Audit is confident that the upcoming session will be a significant milestone in the organization's history, since its establishment in 1979, by promoting cooperation and joint efforts among member institutions to achieve the objectives of ASOSAI and audit authorities in Asian countries.
