SACP to contest for LGE in 402 wards in North West

The South African Communist Party (SACP) in the North West will be contesting the local government elections in all 402 wards across the province. The party is committed to providing better service delivery through competent and ethical councillors. This move comes as the SACP gears up to launch its official provincial manifesto next week.

For the first time, the SACP will contest the elections independently. Smuts Matshe, the SACP secretary in North West, stated that they will collaborate with everyone to restore the dignity of the people of Mamusa. "We are contesting all 402 wards in this province, and our objective is to have the councillors of the SACP in every municipality.

For a long time, the people of Mamusa have endured unbearable conditions, so our presence here is to stay. We will work with everyone to restore the dignity of the people of Mamusa." The SACP is set to hold its provincial manifesto launch in Schweizer-Reneke, North West, and the party plans to use the seven days leading up to the launch to engage with communities and work on the ground.
