During his tenure with the Diamondbacks, he had been a consistent presence in the lineup, with a combined .270/.315/.449 batting average over 2023 and 2024 and 42 homers. Gurriel's three-year, $42 million contract was signed ahead of the 2024 season, and he will be owed a $5 million buyout on a $14 million team option for the following year.
