PM urges Indian groups to invest in clean energy, infrastructure in Vietnam

Prime Minister urged Indian companies to invest in clean energy and infrastructure in Vietnam during a meeting with ACME representatives in New Delhi. ACME, a clean energy and sustainable development specialist, has developed over 8GW of renewable energy capacity across India. The company has expressed interest in exploring investment opportunities, technology transfer, trade cooperation, and developing clean energy projects in Vietnam.

Vietnam, in turn, has affirmed its welcome for major Indian corporations with strong technological capabilities to invest in areas like clean energy, green industry, and digital transformation. The Vietnamese Government is implementing green transition strategies, prioritizing renewable energy, green hydrogen, and emissions reduction solutions.

ACME's experience and capabilities could make it a strong partner in Vietnam's green transition efforts. The Vietnamese Government plans to amend its Investment Law to prioritize projects using advanced technologies, promoting innovation, generating added value, and participating in global value chains. GMR Group, a leading Indian infrastructure conglomerate, has also shown interest in exploring cooperation and investment opportunities in Vietnam, particularly in airport development and operation.

The Vietnamese Government has identified aviation infrastructure development as a priority to strengthen international connectivity and attract investment. Both countries have expressed their commitment to expanding cooperation and investment ties in various sectors, including trade, technology, and infrastructure connectivity.
