PM Modi’s 81-Year-Old Schoolmate Seeks Intervention In Decades-Old Mira Road Land Dispute, Urges CBI Probe

An 81-year-old resident of Mira Road, Asgarali Vohra, is reaching out to his schoolmate and India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, in an effort to resolve a decades-old land dispute. According to the Times of India, Vohra, who studied with Modi at B N School in Vadnagar, Gujarat, met with the Prime Minister on September 8 to seek his intervention. Vohra expressed optimism that his friend would help secure justice for him.

The land dispute in question originated in 2011, when Vohra purchased approximately 2,810 square meters of land at Navghar in Bhayander East through a registered agreement. However, Vohra claimed that the land was later encroached upon by Swayam Builders and Seven Eleven Constructions, a company linked to BJP MLA Narendra Mehta.

He alleged that forged documents were used in connection with the property in 2011, and that the true owner was kept unaware of the situation. According to Vohra, the property was divided into two portions, with titles issued in the names of Swayam Builders and Seven Eleven Constructions.

Following the dispute, an FIR was lodged in 2015, and the case is currently pending in court. Since then, Vohra has been seeking assistance from various authorities, including the revenue department, municipal authorities, and police, in an attempt to resolve the matter. After his meeting with the Prime Minister, the municipal administration noted the case, with a hearing scheduled for September 16. Representatives from Seven Eleven Constructions and Swayam Builders have been instructed to attend the hearing.
